Fibich, Leebron, Copeland & Briggs is proud to announce that two of our firm’s Partners – Tommy Fibich and Russ Briggs – were instrumental in the coordination of a $2.4 billion dollar settlement for Actos bladder cancer lawsuits.
The settlement – which was reached on Tuesday April 28 th – is intended to compensate thousands of individuals who were allegedly diagnosed with bladder cancer after taking Actos – a prescription diabetes medication manufactured by Takeda Pharmaceuticals.
The case involved over 3,900 plaintiffs whose cases were consolidated in Illinois Circuit Court of Cook County. Tommy Fibich served as co-lead counsel and negotiating counsel.
