Attorney Erin Copeland of Fibich, Leebron, Copeland & Briggs will speak on the topic of Ethical Dilemmas in the Perpetuation of Unfair Stereotypes of Women & How to Change the Dialogue at the Diversity in the Law seminar at the Charlotte Marriott City Center in Charlotte, North Carolina this week, November 29-30, 2016.
This seminar will put forth the importance of diversity in the law and explore the ways in which we can promote diversity and inclusion, both in the bar and the communities the American Association for Justice (AAJ) members serve. This seminar also seeks to increase much needed awareness and understanding regarding the obstacles that LGBT, minority, and women plaintiff attorneys face, and provide necessary resource building and networking.
Other topics will include: diversity in mass tort leadership, how to mitigate explicit and implicit bias in associate recruitment, and how public perception could affect your jury.
The seminar is open to AAJ members and non-members and is intended for plaintiff trial attorneys of all levels of experience. Attending participants will receive CLE credits.
