The Emory Leadership Conference was hosted on January 18-19, 2018 at the Emory University, School of Law in Atlanta, Georgia. The conference, titled “Diversity in Leadership,” featured a variety of speakers, including numerous judges, attorneys, in-house council, and other members of the bench and bar. Former President Jimmy Carter also addressed the group with a closing charge on Thursday evening.
Our founding attorney, Tommy Fibich, was a featured speaker on Friday’s agenda. He spoke in a panel discussion on the topic of leadership and trial experience. The panel was titled “Beyond the Conventional Wisdom,” and discussed how to get the experience you need as you strive for more legal opportunities. Attorney Fibich, along with four other speakers, answered specific questions regarding this topic during Friday’s morning session. He was able to share his wisdom about how experience and opportunity work together in the legal field, and how to navigate the legal hurdles as you pursue more experience with greater opportunity.
