Fibich, Leebron, Copeland & Briggs Founding Partner Tommy Fibich has been selected as the recipient of the 2019 Ronald D. Secrest Outstanding Trial Lawyer award! This is a significant achievement made in honor of the late Ronald Secrest, a talented Texas Trial Lawyer whose career and commitment to the highest standards of trial practice are now memorialized through an accolade which recognizes the most accomplished trial attorneys in the state.
Established in June 2002 by the law firm of Beck Redden LLP, where Mr. Secrest was Founding Partner, the Ronald D. Secrest Outstanding Trial Lawyer Award is administered by the Texas Bar Foundation, the largest charitably-funded bar foundation in the country.
Each year, only one active Texas trial attorney earns the distinction, and must first be formally nominated by one of their peers. Nominees are then carefully vetted in accordance to the award’s criteria, which focuses on the demonstrated litigation success and results, high moral and ethical standards, and exceptional professional conduct which enhance the image of all trial attorneys.
Being named the 2019 recipient, Tommy Fibich solidifies his reputation as one of the most respected and successful trial attorneys in the state of Texas. Over a career spanning more than four decades, Tommy has cultivated the widespread esteem of his colleagues and clients, and has secured millions of dollars in compensation in complex claims ranging from serious personal injury and fraud, to product liability and commercial torts.
A Proven Texas Litigator
Our entire legal team at Fibich, Leebron, Copeland & Briggs congratulates Tommy on his latest achievement. We believe it’s a reflection of his hard-earned reputation and a fitting award for an advocate who has dedicated his career to fighting for the injured and the wronged. It’s also a reminder of why those who know Tommy so well often associate his fighting spirit to the great Muhammed Ali. Not only does he “float like a butterfly, and sting like a bee,” Tommy, just like Ali, knows the importance of preparation, passion, and tireless work ethic.
“The fight is won or lost far away from witnesses – behind the lines, in the gym, and out there on the road, long before I dance under those lights.” – Muhammed Ali
In consideration of the award and Tommy’s selection, the Beck Redden law firm will make a charitable gift of $10,000 to the Texas Bar Foundation to support their commendable work, which includes educational services for the public about their legal rights and responsibilities, legal services for those with limited financial resources, and furthering the quality of service legal consumers in Texas receive from their legal representatives.
